We all know the saying “New York is the city that never sleeps,” and while that may be true, it is pretty difficult to find a restaurant that is serving a good sit down meal after 11pm. This is a list of 10 spots that will make you ditch the dollar slice you usually pick up at 2am and stop by one of these perfect late night restaurants for a bite to eat.
Enjoy!
Katz’s Delicatessen
Pc: @eatingnycEstablished in 1888, Katz’s is the oldest delicatessen in NYC, and many say its the best. Katz’s is packed at all hours of the day, but New Yorkers just can’t seem to get enough of a pastrami sandwich on Rye in the middle of the night, which is why they stay open all night on the weekends and until 2:45AM on Thursday’s.
Veselka
Pc: @alexdelanyOpen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Veselka is truly a NYC gem. This popular East Village spot has been serving up traditional Ukrainian comfort food since 1954, and trust us when we say everything on the menu is amazing. On Friday and Saturday, from midnight till the sun rises, they offer the “You-should-be-sleeping-but-since-you’re-not menu” which is made up of not-so traditional dishes inspired by classic menu items like the Smothered Latke topped with either Beef Stroganoff or Veal Goulash, and Veselka’s Patty Melt.
Wo Hop
Pc: @caryndeniseWo-Hop is the spot to go at any hour of the night if you are craving cheap, delicious and comforting chinese food. Make sure not to go to the “wrong” Wo-Hop, as there are two spaces right next to each other –one on ground level and one that is down a flight of stairs leading into the infamous basement. Everything on the menu here is around $6-$10 a pop so expect a feast!
Blue Ribbon Brasserie
Pc: @infatuationBlue Ribbon Brasserie is open till 4am, 7 days a week and is a great place to eat, not just in the middle of the night. Their menu is huge and it does not change for late night, so if you’re craving a seafood platter at 3 in the morning, this is your spot!
JG Melon
Pc: @eatingnycJG Melon’s original Upper East Side location serves our favorite burger in NYC until 3AM everyday. The menu is pretty large and everything is delicious, but we recommend started your meal here with a mozzarella in Carozza and then going for a burger with a side of cottage fries.
Sushi Seki
Pc: @schmooeySushi Seki is unlike most late night restaurants in NYC; it’s the only place we know of that serves sushi until 2:30AM. The sushi is always amazing and super fresh, but what makes this place so special is that you can order an Omakase at the sushi bar at 1 in the morning. This place can get pricey, so you can expect to drop around $70 per person for some of the best sushi in the city.
Empellon Al Pastor
Pc: @lefoodingOpen till 2am on Friday and Saturday, Empellon Al Pastor is our top pick for late night tacos. Best part? You can enjoy your bar snacks and tacos while sipping on one of their 18 beers on tap.

Pc: @JosephleonardnyWest Village favorite Joseph Leonard serves quality American staples late-night, Thursday-Saturday. Our go to’s here are the burger with cheddar cheese, bacon and garlic aioli and the hanger steak served with anchovy butter.
Lil Frankies
Pc: @eatingnycLil Frankies at any time of the day is delicious, reliable, and consistent, but the fact that it’s open until 2AM Sun-Thurs and 4AM Fri-Sat takes it to the next level and holds a special place in our hearts. Come here hungry, order lots, and leave extremely satisfied!
Corner Bistro
Pc: @allthefoodsnycCorner Bistro’s menu is very simple, which is part of the reason why we love it so much. With only eight items to choose from, it makes ordering here pretty easy! Open every day till 4am and know specifically for their burgers, NYC natives line up each night to get a bite at this classic dive bar.
