If we can’t go to Levain, we’ll bring Levain to us! After some serious recipe testing, I’m proud to present my copycat chocolate chip walnut cookies from Levain. If you’re team chocolate chip, you can ditch the walnuts, but either way, I’m pretty sure this recipe comes pretty close to the original.

Ingredients
Here’s What You’ll Need for 8 Cookies:
1 3/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cup cake flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 cups semi sweet
chocolate chips
1.5 cup roughly chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 cup cold butter
Directions
Directions:
1. Cream cold butter in mixer on low for about thirty seconds.
2. Add in white sugar and brown sugar, keep mixing.
3. Combine chocolate and walnuts.
4. Gradually add in flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Should take about a minute.
5. FINALLY add eggs until combined. Mixture will be crumbly.
6. Create 8 cookies and place on a baking sheet.
7. Put them in the freezer for 24 hours.
8. Pre-heat oven to 400 and take out cookies. Grease baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes.
9. Let them sit for 15 minutes before digging in!
