Madame Vo

The Madame Pho, aka the classic pho, is a beef broth with rice noodles, cilantro, and a long simmered broth with an optional choice of short rib – which we would definitely recommend. They also cook up a mushroom based pho and a lemongrass pho which we love.
BoCaphe
PC: Alexa MatthewsFor a modern, trendy take on Vietnamese fare, specializing in veggie-focused dishes, look no further than BoCaPhe. Here, you’ll find options like vegan pho with the option of substitute zucchini noodles. In addition to their classic pho, vegan pho, and chicken pho, you can also add either chicken or vegetable dumplings in for a hearty, delicious bowl of goodness.
Hanoi House

PC: @thrillistPho Bang in Chinatown is known for serving some of the best Pho in New York and we could not agree more. It’s ideal for larger party sizes with tables that can fit about eight and has solid prices to match. The pho with flank steak is our go-to, and we recommend throwing in some basil, the side spicy sauce and extra lime as well for the perfect spoonful.
Lucy’s Vietnamese Kitchen
PC: @pho_showLucy’s Vietnamese Kitchen is a Williamsburg eatery serving flavor packed pho with various side dishes, staying true to chef Phuoc “Johnny” Huynh’s Vietnamese roots. The smoked brisket pho is classic but modern, and the vegan ginger pho is surprisingly meaty, with shiitake mushrooms, scallions, and a deeply flavored ginger broth.
Sao Mai
PC: @foodmentoSao Mai is our spot for a no frills, pho-filled experience. Their pho is the crowd pleaser of the menu, with flavorful broths, the right amount of spice and tender meats. We really love their chicken pho, made with shredded chicken and filled with fresh vegetables.
Saigon Shack
PC: @noleftoversGreenwich village staple and NYU favorite Saigon Shack is known for their extremely flavorful pho soups. All served with a side of cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil, and lime, the Saigon Shack pho, brisket pho, vegetarian pho, and grilled chicken lemongrass pho are all crowd favorites. Make sure not to miss out on the fried pork and shrimp dumplings, pulled pork banh mi and the fried crab cakes.
Khe-Yo

This pho is made with brisket, oxtail, herbs, lettuces, and perfectly tender rice noodles, all in a seasoned, flavorful broth. Other must orders here include the fresh papaya salad, berkshire pork ribs, sesame beef jerky, and sticky rice with spicy bang bang sauce.

PC: @bunker.nycBunker takes pride in sourcing quality ingredients for their authentic Vietnamese street food dishes. Beef pho prepared with grass fed rare beef, classic rice noodles and an incredibly savory bone broth is the speciality at the original Bushwick location. We’re also obsessed with their mushroom banh mi and pork ribs.

PC: @anchoinycAn Choi, a neighborhood Vietnamese joint on the Lower East Side, serves amazing banh mi’s, wings, and you guessed it, fantastic pho noodle soups. We usually opt for the classic beef pho, but they also have a great deluxe beef pho and a vegetarian pho made with mushroom broth, tofu, scallions, and seasonal vegetables.
