EatingNYC is published by Alexa Matthews. By browsing the site, subscribing to the newsletter or using the restaurant guide, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Continued use after the terms are updated means you accept the revised version.

Everything published here — photography, restaurant reviews, guides, recipes, videos, the EatingNYC name and wordmark — is Alexa's original work and protected by copyright. You're welcome to link to any post, quote a short excerpt with clear credit and a link back, or share a page on social media.

You may not republish full posts, use the photography on another site or in marketing materials, reproduce recipes in full, or scrape the site's content to train models or populate another publication, without written permission. For licensing, reprints or press use, email alexa@eating.nyc.

Please don't attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its database; don't submit someone else's email address to the newsletter; don't use automated tools to bulk-download content; and don't use the site for anything unlawful.

Every review, ranking and recommendation on this site is Alexa's personal editorial opinion, based on her own experience at the time of the visit. Reasonable people disagree about restaurants, and that's the point.

Details go out of date — some of these posts are ten years old. Addresses, hours, menus, prices, chefs, ownership and reservation policies change constantly in New York, and restaurants close without notice. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a place is still open or still good. Always confirm hours, pricing and availability directly with the restaurant before you go. Map pins, neighborhoods and price levels in the restaurant guide are approximations for browsing, not verified business records.

Some restaurant photos come from the restaurant's own website or press materials and are credited to their source. If you own an image or a listing and want the credit corrected or the image or listing removed, email alexa@eating.nyc and it will be handled promptly.

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Recipes are shared for home cooking; you're responsible for safe food handling and for checking ingredients against your own allergies and dietary needs. Nothing here is medical, nutritional, financial or legal advice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
