Recipe Remake: Misi’s Ricotta Toast

Apart from all the amazing pasta, Misi’s Ricotta toast is always a must order when dining at this Williamsburg favorite. Lucky for us, it’s incredibly easy to recreate at home by following these four easy steps. Perfect for any occasion, I’m sure this starter will become a staple in your home!

2 cups whole milk ricotta
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp honey
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 cup heavy cream
Rustic Italian bread
Butter
Flakey sea salt for garnish

1. Combine ricotta, sugar, salt, honey, olive oil and heavy cream in a food processor for about 15 seconds or until a nice, fluffy consistency forms
2. Create your piping bag by adding ricotta mixture to a ziploc bag. Cut a dime sized whole in the corner
3. In a heated saucepan, melt butter and toast your bread
4. Pipe ricotta on toast, finish with flakey sea salt and enjoy!!
